Substance Abuse Counselor/Case Manager

We are looking for a full-time Substance Abuse Counselor/Case Manager for our adult residential substance abuse treatment program. Schedule will include one weekend day.

Required Experience:

  • Experience in substance abuse treatment
  • Individual and group counseling skills
  • Understanding of co-occurring issues
  • Experience working with culturally diverse individuals
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills·

Qualifications:

  • Certified Addiction Counselor or Master Level Associates (AMFT, ACSW or APCC)
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in substance abuse treatment or a related field
    Computer skills

Milieu Staff

We are hiring a full-time Milieu staff for our adult residential program. Schedule will include one weekend day.The Milieu staff is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the program including intake screenings, house structure, crisis intervention, and house schedule monitoring. Milieu staff may help with group facilitation, outside resources coordination.

Ideal candidates have:

  • Experience in substance abuse treatment
  • Experience working with culturally diverse clients
  • Strong communication skills

Qualifications:

  • Registered to obtain certification or Certified Addiction Counselor
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in substance abuse treatment or a related experience.
    Computer skills

UA Tech

We are looking for a part-time UA tech for a Monday through Friday afternoon/evening scheduleThe work consists of monitoring urine analysis testing, completing chain of custody paperwork, handling specimen shipping and communication with officers, etc.

To succeed in this dynamic environment, the ideal candidate has:

  • Extreme attention to details
  • Established organizational skills

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Basic computer skills

Night Duty Staff

We are looking for a full-time Night Duty Staff to work 4 shifts of 10 hours, including weekends and/or holidays for our residential adult program.

Ideal candidates have:

  • Experience in a residential setting

  • Ability to work independently while following agency policies and procedures

  • Good communication skills

  • Familiarity and comfort working with diverse populations

  • Team player attitude

  • Good follow-through

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • One (1) year experience in residential setting

  • Basic computer skills

Therapist/Counselor

We are currently seeking a part-time Therapist/Counselorfor our adult outpatient substance abuse treatment program. Hours will include some evenings. The services may include:

  • Individual, family and group sessions
  • CBT groups
  • Completing intake assessment and report
  • UA testing

Required Experience:

  • Experience in substance abuse treatment
  • Individual, family and group counseling skills
  • Experience working with individuals with co-occurring issues
  • Experience working with criminal justice individuals
  • Experience working with culturally diverse individuals
  • Proficient computer skills required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Qualifications:

  • Licensed candidates (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC) or Master Level Associates (AMFT, ACSW or APCC)
  • A minimum of two (2) year experience in substance abuse treatment or a related field

Prevention Counselor For School-Based Program

We are currently seeking a part-time counselor to work in our school-based program, in a Berkeley middle school, providing a curriculum-based Substance Use Prevention Education. Students participate in an environmental campaign designed to prevent substance use in the community. Candidate must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree or higher, in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work as well as have experience working with a diverse population. Candidate must be knowledgeable in child and adolescent development, substance abuse prevention and multi-cultural issues. Candidate must be a team-player (both inside the organization as well as in the community), have the desire to learn and have the ability to work independently.

Candidate must have the ability to take initiative, have good judgment, be resourceful, have tact, and physical ability commensurate with the demand of the position.

Nurse

We are hiring a part-time Nurse for our adult substance abuse treatment program for a Saturday afternoon/evening shift and a Sunday day shift.

Required skills and experience:

  • Experience in drug and alcohol detox
  • Understanding of dual diagnosis
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse in good standing to provide medical services in the State of California.
  • Experience in substance abuse treatment preferred.
