Admissions Counselor
We are seeking a full-time counselor to work in our admissions office, located in Berkeley, Monday through Friday, including holidays. Candidates must be certified or registered and actively pursuing certification with one of three DHCS-approved organizations (CAADE, CADTP, or CCAPP).
Required Experience:
- Proficiency in handling screening and conducting clinical assessments and intakes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to act as a liaison to referral sources, probation officers, and other community resources.
- A friendly and outgoing personality with a strong administrative aptitude
Qualifications:
- AOD certification preferred or registration and actively pursuing certification from CAADE, CADTP, or CCAPP
- ASAM Dimension certification preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and able to learn EHR software
Nurse
We are hiring a part-time nurse for our adult substance abuse treatment program, for an overnight Saturday to Sunday shift + possible on-call shifts.
Required skills and experience:
- Experience in drug and alcohol detox
- Understanding of dual diagnosis
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
Qualifications:
- Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse in good standing to provide medical services in the State of California.
- Experience in substance abuse treatment preferred.
Night Duty Staff
We are looking for a part-time Night Duty Staff for our adult substance abuse treatment program, for an overnight Saturday to Sunday shift + possible on-call shifts.
Ideal candidates have:
- Experience in a residential setting
- Ability to work independently while following agency policies and procedures
- Good communication skills
- Familiarity and comfort working with diverse populations
- Team player attitude
- Good follow-through
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of experience in a residential setting
- Basic computer skills”
Therapist/Counselor
We are currently seeking a part-time Therapist/Counselorfor our adult outpatient substance abuse treatment program. Hours will include some evenings. The services may include:
- Individual, family and group sessions
- CBT groups
- Completing intake assessment and report
- UA testing
Required Experience:
- Experience in substance abuse treatment
- Individual, family and group counseling skills
- Experience working with individuals with co-occurring issues
- Experience working with criminal justice individuals
- Experience working with culturally diverse individuals
- Proficient computer skills required
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Qualifications:
- Licensed candidates (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC) or Master Level Associates (AMFT, ACSW or APCC)
- A minimum of two (2) year experience in substance abuse treatment or a related field
